Sunday at the pumpkin patch.

They had cute baby goats at the petting zoo. Antonio wasn't going in at first, but when he saw Cecilia petting them he changed his mind. lol

The kids had some fun in the hay maze then we picked some pumpkins and headed home.
Barbara bought a couple "sugar baby" pumkins to make some homemade pumpin pie. The holidays are already starting. Weight Watchers is gonna be tough for a while!

Back in Denver...

for an hour at least. It's kinda nice that we are "gaining" time with our trip back. A 4 hr. flight only took 3 hours off the clock (at least I think so). We leave at 12:30 Denver time and get into Sac at 2pm. Just enough time to relax. The kids go back to school tomorrow. I don't go back to work intil Thursday. Hopefully Gabi doesn't already have my Wednesday planned. lol

Flight 1 of 2

Heading to Denver.

Heading home.

We've returned the rental and are on the shuttle to the airport. Can't wait to be home!

Funeral

It was a very moving ceremony. Many thanks to the Marines that we present to pay respects to their bretheren.

Arlington

Everyone did a great job making tgis look great.

The morning of the funeral.

The morning is going pretty smooth considering we've got 14 people in 3 suites getting ready for a very important moment.

I'll hopefully have some nice photos of Arlington Cemetery to share later.

Free drinks!

Embassy offer free drinks between 1730 & 1930. We shall partake.

Seph, Daniel, & Gregory are here!

Washington Monument

Good Morning!

So I made a mistake. The funeral is Thursday, not today. Which is a good thing since everyone who not here is showing up tonight. ;-)

That means we're heading off to DC today. The Holocaust museum is something we're planning on checking out. The rest we'll play by ear.

Cecilia & Thomas

Our cutest 4 month-old nephew!

We made it!!

Flew right by the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and were able to see the White House!

Homework already!

The kids have started their homework. Such responsible young citizens. lol

Touchdown, Denver.

We're meeting up with Ayla, Betsy & Thomas.

We've got a couple of hours until the next flight. Time for a snack.

Time for takeoff.

DC here we come (via Denver).

The plane, the plane!

That's ours.

We're at the airport.

We got here at 0430. My Dad dropped us off before he went into work (Thanks Dad!).

Gabi and I woke up at 0245 and got the kids up at 0315. The first word out of Antonio's mouth was, "It seems like I just went to sleep a couple of hours ago...". Well, that's because you did, buddy. lol

Now it's just the waiting game until our 0630 flight.

And so it begins...

That's A.M. BTW.

Getting ready for D.C.

Just a quick update from my phone in preparation for our D.C. Trip starting tomorrow.

We'll be burying Gabi's grandpa on Wednesday at Arlington Cemetery. Then we will be spending the days in D.C.

Here's a pic of Antonio playing a hugemongous jenga set just because.
